As of 9:00 AM on Monday, August 4, 2025 attendees will no longer be able to make any changes in SCHED. This will allow Conference Admin to prepare for the conference and print schedules. You may still attend however since you are not able to sign up for a session it is advised that you attend sessions that are open.

This essential session will equip high school World History I teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully implement the 2023 Virginia Social Studies Standards, set for full implementation in the 2025–2026 school year. Educators will explore key shifts in historical content and inquiry-based skills, examine updated pacing and assessment guidance, and engage with high-impact instructional strategies. Participants will collaborate to align their current practices with the new standards and leave with practical resources to support student engagement and historical thinking.
