Storyboarding ancient civilizations engages students in visual storytelling, deepening their understanding of historical events, cultures, and contributions. This hands-on approach fosters creativity, sequencing skills, and content retention as well as integrates language arts and computer science skills. Participants will explore strategies for integrating storyboarding into social studies lessons, encouraging students to think critically and make meaningful connections across time periods. We will specifically show how this concept was integrated into our unit on Ancient Greece culminating in a final product where students demonstrated learning by painting on Saran Wrapped desks.
