Ready to elevate your classroom with creativity and cross-curricular connections? Join us for a beginner-friendly session focused on using Book Creator with our youngest learners (grades K–2). Discover how this powerful digital tool can transform student voice, support early literacy, and integrate content across subjects—reading, writing, science, math, and more. You'll walk away with practical strategies, ready-to-use templates, and inspiration to help your littles become confident digital authors. Whether you have one device or a class set, this session will help you take the first steps toward a future-ready classroom where even the smallest learners can shine!
Working in PLCs and analyzing student data can often be challenging. Within a school, teachers that vary in experience and skill sets often teach the same content to different populations of students. We will discuss strategies for looking at common assessment data with a focus on growth for all. We use a few simple spreadsheet tools like conditional formatting and “=averageifs” formulas to promote collaboration and self-reflection on standards and avoid teacher-on-teacher competition.
What’s keeping your science instruction on the ground floor? Are you ready to Level Up? In this session, we will explore how to plan for instruction from the lens of assessment to elevate the rigor, engagement, and excitement for learning in science. Participants will learn how to develop and utilize learning intentions and success criteria to plan for actively engaging learners in student-centered experiences.
Do you want to give an authentic hands on outdoor experience for students without all the logistic constraints of a field trip? In this session we will go over outdoor experiences students can have on their own school grounds. We will cover sampling populations, measuring diversity and nature walks while covering biology and life science SOL standards using only grasses, trees and other organisms that grow on most school grounds.
