Partake in archaeological digs during summer and breaks. Besides being a history and instructional coach at Cox High School, I work for the Colonial Houses in Virginia Beach where I research the living descendants of enslaved people who worked in these houses with the goal of reuniting them with the descendants of those who enslaved them. I live my truth by working as the historian for the Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs where I research Colonial Virginia Through the stories of the family who occupied our historical houses. I believe in making history engaging and as real as I can where the students do the work not the teacher!
